In this tutorial, you will learn to create zombie using few image stitching , color correction and blood make up.

Step-1

This is the basic image,  we are going to use for this tutorial.

Step-2

Mask the white background of the image.

To do this,  Select the lady in the image.

Click on “Add Layer Mask “

Then, you get result like this….

Adding colors to give deadly look:

Step-3

Set fore ground color to #224A5F,  I tried many colors and decided to use this color to get desired result. (You can try some other colors to get the result)

Select new layer  and set the blending mode for the layer to “Vivid Light”.

Select brush  with the following properties.

Now, color the image to get the following result.

Adding Skull:

Select the skull image.

Mask the image (You know how to do it) and place it in  position in the following way.

Add shadow in new layer using gray color.

Adding wounds and stitches:

To add wounds and stitches, I used the following images.

Add blood:

Set  blood color  to #FF444D

Use “Pencil Tool”  with 100% opacity and draw blood like this….

Set the blending mode for the layer to “Linear Burn” and add “Bevel and Emboss” effect with following properties.

Using Burn tool add shadows of image to the blood.

Blood  on the face and skull look uniform,  make it uneven to get realistic look.

To do this….

Select erase tool with the following brush tool with following properties.

Similarly add more blood.

Changing Eyes:

Copy and paste the eye bolls in the new layer.

Fill the eyes with white color.

Brush the eyes with light red color (keep the brush opacity to 25%)

Now, resize the eyes and place them like this. This gives the ghost look on the face.

Crating Background:

Select new layer at the bottom of all layers.

Go to Filter>> Render >> Clouds (It doesn’t matter which colors you use.)

You get result like this…

Step-22

Using Hue/Saturation (Ctrl + u) change the background color to this….

Select small portion of the background and delete the rest.

Resize it to fit the background.

Blur the background a little bit.

Finally add a tree to get result like this…
